Cartis Group Helps Whole Foods Market Exceed Goal - Animal Compassion Foundation Raises More Than $650,000
Cartis Group developed in-store promotion materials to encourage Whole Foods Market customers throughout the nation to shop on January 24, 2006 to raise awareness and money for the Animal Compassion Foundation. Whole Foods Market donated five percent of its global sales that day to the Foundation, which works to improve the lives of farm animals. The Animal Compassion Foundation serves as an interactive resource for ranchers, meat producers and researchers to share ideas and collaborate on projects that focus on animals' welfare and well-being. The funds will go solely to research projects and on-farm experiments, not to Foundation administrative expenses.
These in-store posters helped Whole Foods Market raise over $650,000 for the Foundation, raising $100,000 more than last year's Animal Compassion Day. Animal Compassion Day is one of two Global Five Percent Days the world's leading natural foods retailer hosts each year. The other Global Five Percent Day benefits the Whole Planet Foundation. Cartis Group worked with Whole Foods Market on the fundraising effort for the Whole Planet Foundation, also beating its goal.
