Whole Foods Market, a Great Place to Work; Named to S&P 500
Cartis Group client, Whole Foods Market, has more than a successful holiday sales season to celebrate as we kick off 2006.
Whole Foods Market has started the year by adding yet another accolade to its trophy shelf, making Fortune 500’s annual list of the 100 Best Places to Work for the ninth year in a row. WFM, ranking 15th overall and 3rd among large companies, was one of 10 Texas-based companies and one of two Austin-based companies to make the list. National Instruments was the other Austin-based company on this year’s list.
Not only is Whole Foods Market a great place to work, it is also an incredibly thriving business. The world's leading natural and organic foods supermarket closed out 2005 by being named to the Standard & Poor’s 500. The S&P 500 comprises 500 companies from a broad range of industries. To trade on the index, companies must have market capitalization of more than $4 billion, four consecutive quarters of profits and adequate liquidity, among other characteristics.
Cartis Group congratulates Whole Foods Market CEO, John Mackey, and the entire global WFM team on these achievements, and we look forward to celebrating even more successes with them in the future.
