All Sense Success at Cartis Group Sponsored Meeting
On March 15, Cartis Group hosted the Austin American Marketing Association (AMA) luncheon at the Westwood Country Club. Despite the dreary weather, more than 50 mid- and senior-level marketing professionals in fields including nonprofit, technology and healthcare attended the monthly event.
Nona Evans, Southwest Region Marketing Director for Whole Foods Market, was the keynote speaker at the luncheon. Her presentation, "Marketing to the Five Senses," used Whole Foods Market stores as case studies on how to apply marketing strategies in unexpected ways. Whole Foods Market provided table favors appealing to the audience's sense of touch, taste, sight, hearing and smell. The most coveted give-aways of the day were Whole Foods Market t-shirts featuring haiku poems written by Cartis Group.
"I appreciate the speaker's constant effort to make her presentation relevant and useful to the audience," commented one of the luncheon attendees. "It is so helpful to gain marketing perspective from local companies."
Cartis Group president, Shannon Carter, spoke briefly to the group about Cartis Group's background and philosophy. Marketing postcards and capability brochures were distributed to audience members. Carter and other Cartis Group representatives remained after the meeting to answer questions as well. This is the first time Cartis Group has hosted the AMA monthly luncheon.
